H.M. Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA), appeared on the EMERGE Everywhere podcast released today for an interview that focused on financial inclusion and financial health. The program was hosted by Financial Health Network President and CEO Jennifer Tescher.
The nearly 30-minute discussion featured a range of topics, including how Queen Máxima’s passion for financial inclusion began as a child, navigating the impacts of hyperinflation and a desire to act.
The Special Advocate highlights the importance of public and private sector collaboration, along with the role of financial education and literacy, notably for women, to promote good financial health. She stressed that financial health is not only an issuing in emerging economies, but an important one in developed countries, such as the Netherlands, too.
